Honor launches Magic 9 series with ARRI-partnered Pro Max model
Honor has officially launched its Magic 9 flagship series in China, featuring three distinct models: the standard Magic 9, the high-end Magic 9 Pro Max, and the extreme Magic 9 Super Edition.
The Magic 9 Pro Max serves as the series' cinematic centerpiece, developed in collaboration with German optics manufacturer ARRI. It features a dual 200-megapixel camera system—including a primary sensor and a periscope telephoto lens—that supports native ARRI LogC3 recording and professional color profiles. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, an 8,800mAh battery, and a 6.8-inch LTPO display with up to 10,000 nits of peak brightness.
The standard Magic 9 is a more compact option, utilizing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, an 8,000mAh battery, and a 6.37-inch OLED screen. Meanwhile, the Magic 9 Super Edition focuses on extreme battery life with an 11,000mAh capacity and an active cooling fan, though it uses the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Key technological highlights across the series include the proprietary H1 imaging chip for AI-driven processing, advanced battery technology dubbed Qinghai Lake, and high-level durability certifications including IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
