Honor Magic 9 series to launch with ARRI cameras and 11,000mAh battery
Honor has confirmed the launch of its Magic 9 series on September 28 in China. The lineup will consist of three distinct models: the standard Magic 9, the Magic 9 Pro Max, and the Magic 9 Super Edition.
The Pro Max model is positioned as a photography flagship, featuring a dual 200MP camera system developed in collaboration with ARRI. This partnership includes ARRI color science, such as ARRI LogC3 and Wide Gamut 3 profiles, to enhance cinematic video processing. It is expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and offers up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The Super Edition is highlighted by its massive 11,000mAh battery, targeting users who prioritize extreme endurance. While it shares some design elements with the standard model, it reportedly lacks the ARRI branding on its camera system. The standard Magic 9 will be available in various colors, including a new Popcorn Yellow, and will also feature ARRI video collaboration.
Technical specifications across the series include high-end memory configurations of up to 16GB RAM and various storage capacities. The devices are expected to feature advanced displays and high-performance chipsets, with the Pro Max potentially utilizing a 2nm manufacturing process for its processor.
