Honor of Kings concludes esports competition at 2026 Asian Games

The Honor of Kings esports tournament concluded on September 28 at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. The competition marked a significant milestone for esports as an official medal event on a major continental sporting stage.

Team China secured the gold medal, while Team Malaysia took silver. The bronze medals were shared by Team Philippines and Team Hong Kong (China). The tournament followed a qualification process involving 23 countries and regions, with 10 teams advancing to the main event.

Jackie Huang, Head of Honor of Kings Global Esports at TiMi Studio Group and Tencent Games, stated that the inclusion of esports in the Asian Games demonstrates how gaming can unite people across different borders, generations, and backgrounds.
