Honor reveals Magic9 pricing ahead of September launch

Honor CEO Li Jian has revealed preliminary pricing for the standard Magic9 smartphone ahead of the series' official launch on September 28. The specific model announced features 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The standard price is set at approximately $968 (CNY 6,499). However, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Magic series, a special promotional price of roughly $893 (CNY 5,999) will be available. Additionally, a Chinese national subsidy could potentially reduce the cost to about $819 (CNY 5,499).

Rumored technical specifications for the Magic9 include a 6.37-inch LTPS OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The device is expected to feature a high-end camera system including a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. It is also anticipated to house an 8,000 mAh battery supporting 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
