Honor Robot Phone unveiled with costly price tag and 200MP robot‑arm camera

Chinese manufacturer Honor is preparing to launch the Honor Robot Phone, a flagship smartphone that incorporates a 200 MP PTZ (pan‑tilt‑zoom) camera mounted on a robotic arm. The device features a 23 mm f/1.6 main lens, a 50 MP ultra‑wide lens, a 200 MP periscope telephoto unit, and a 4D gimbal capable of 360° rotation. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and supports a 10‑bit HDR Master Cinema mode developed in partnership with ARRI, offering professional‑grade video capabilities.

A leak from a Chinese insider indicates the phone will launch in China for more than 15,000 yuan (around €1,940), a price considered high for the domestic market and likely to rise for overseas sales. Pre‑orders have begun, with the official release expected within weeks, though it is unclear whether the model will be offered beyond China.
