Honor showcases Robot Phone at Venice Film Festival
Technology company Honor showcased its Robot Phone at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The device features a mechanical robotic arm, a gimbal system, and a 200-megapixel camera.
Developed in collaboration with imaging and lighting technology firm ARRI, the phone incorporates ARRI’s LogC3 color science, Wide Gamut 3, and Looks imaging technologies. These features are designed to provide professional-grade control over lighting, color range, and cinematic tones in mobile video. The phone also includes AI object tracking and AI spinshot capabilities for automated subject following.
Honor CEO James Li stated that the device combines mobile imaging, robotics, and AI technology to create new possibilities for professional imaging on smartphones. In addition to the Robot Phone, Honor also displayed its Magic9 Pro Max, which also utilizes ARRI imaging technology.
