HONOR to launch Magic9 Pro Max with ARRI collaboration

HONOR has announced a launch event in Hong Kong on November 4 for its new flagship smartphone, the HONOR Magic9 Pro Max. A key feature of the device is a collaboration with the professional cinema equipment brand ARRI, which includes dual 200-megapixel main cameras and a dedicated ARRI cinema mode designed to integrate professional filmmaking tools into a mobile device.

The cinema mode features an interface modeled after professional film cameras, supporting a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and fine-tuned parameter adjustments. It also includes monitoring tools for real-time exposure, focus, and lighting detail. For color management, the device offers 14 ARRI color styles for real-time preview and an ARRI color library with 87 color grading solutions to assist in post-production.

Hardware specifications include the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and an 8,800mAh battery to support high-end video recording and computational demands. Final local specifications, pricing, and availability will be disclosed during the Hong Kong event.
