HONOR Watch 6 Introduces Advanced Badminton Mode and Sleep‑Pulse Tracking

HONOR has released the Watch 6, a smartwatch aimed at indoor‑sport enthusiasts. It adds a dedicated badminton mode that records five‑dimensional match data across nine key metrics, lets users earn performance badges, and offers AI‑driven running coaching with lactate‑threshold and heart‑rate guidance. The device also features a dual‑band GNSS chip called HONOR AccuTrack for faster satellite acquisition and more precise outdoor route tracking.

Separately, a growing trend sees users checking their pulse right before bedtime to gauge upcoming sleep quality. Experts from Johns Hopkins University caution that while a lower resting pulse can indicate a relaxed state, it is not a reliable predictor of sleep depth. Factors such as stress, caffeine, alcohol, late meals, medication, and ambient temperature also affect both pulse and sleep, and metrics like heart‑rate variability and blood pressure provide a fuller picture of sleep health.
