Hoobastank releases first new song in eight years, “How Do You Sleep?”

American rock band Hoobastank issued a new single titled “How Do You Sleep?”, marking the group’s first fresh material in eight years. Frontman Doug Robb explained that the band continued writing after their 2018 album *Push Pull*, but only when a batch of songs was sent to former producer Howard Benson did the track stand out. Benson described it as a modern version of the band’s early‑2000s sound. Robb said the group aimed to write music they enjoy first, noting he is not tracking listeners’ reactions – “If people love it, fantastic; if they think it’s the worst song they’ve heard, fantastic.” He added that no one has “been throwing tomatoes” at the performance. Hoobastank will debut the song live at the Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, California.
