Hoogeveen unveils permanent Van Gogh historical presentation

In Hoogeveen, local officials have unveiled a permanent illuminated presentation on a quay wall dedicated to the history of the region through the lens of Vincent van Gogh. The project, which highlights the historical connection to the artist, was realized through a collaboration between the Historische Kring and Provision.

During the unveiling, Alderman Aron Sieders emphasized that the exhibition serves to showcase local pride and the municipality's commitment to creating an attractive living environment. He noted that the initiative aligns with broader municipal goals, including housing development and the revitalization of the station area.
