Hope for Ukraine's 'No Sirens' camp in Italy shelters war‑traumatized kids

Ukrainian teenagers Yevhen and Vlad, who endured gunfire, bombings and the loss of their homes during Russia's invasion, are now staying at the "No Sirens" holiday camp in Lignano Pineta, Italy. The camp, organised by the charity Hope for Ukraine, hosts about 30 children displaced by the war and offers a rare period without air‑raid sirens. Both boys say they finally feel safe, hearing only ordinary passenger planes overhead. They also acknowledge that the peace is temporary and that they will soon return to the brutal reality of conflict in Ukraine. The initiative aims to alleviate the psychological toll of the war on young victims.

The camp highlights the broader humanitarian effort to provide mental‑health relief for children affected by the ongoing conflict.
