Hope Uzodimma launches grassroots campaign for Tinubu’s re-election

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has launched an expanded media and grassroots mobilization strategy to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election efforts for 2027. As Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Uzodimma is focusing on communicating the administration’s reforms directly to local communities.

The initiative includes a wide-reaching media campaign featuring weekly television outreach and the use of digital platforms to counter misinformation and provide policy updates. The RHA has developed a mobilization architecture designed to reach all 176,846 polling units in Nigeria, utilizing approximately 4.4 million grassroots mobilizers.

Uzodimma has chosen to focus on these campaign efforts rather than engaging in recent public criticisms made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. The strategy aims to connect the federal government’s policies with voters at the ward and polling unit levels through citizen engagement and feedback mechanisms.
