Horacio Beamonte hospitalized following intense headache

Mexican actor and singer Horacio Beamonte was hospitalized for four days following an episode of intense acute headache that caused him to lose consciousness. Beamonte, known for his roles in “Imperio de mentiras” and “Como dice el dicho,” attributed the medical emergency to stress and sleep deprivation while preparing for a casting call.

During his hospitalization, doctors administered morphine, tramadol, paracetamol, saline solution, dexamethasone, and diphenidol. A CT scan ruled out tumors or leukemia infiltration in the brain or meninges. Beamonte is currently recovering at home and undergoing a process to detoxify from the medications.

Beamonte, 49, suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia with the Philadelphia chromosome. He has stated his intention to pursue orthothanasia, choosing to decline treatments that would artificially prolong his life in favor of palliative care to manage his condition.
