Horacio Duarte calls for political unity and electoral security in Estado de México

Horacio Duarte Olivares, the Secretary General of Government for the State of Mexico, has issued a call for political unity within the Morena movement ahead of the 2027 electoral process. Speaking during a legislative report in Ecatepec, Duarte emphasized that the welfare of the population and the continuity of social transformation must take precedence over individual political aspirations and internal divisions.

In a separate initiative to safeguard upcoming elections, Duarte announced the formation of a Political Table (Mesa Política). This body will bring together political party leaders, electoral authorities, and members of the Peace Table to establish security conditions for electoral campaigns. The goal is to ensure that citizens can exercise their right to vote freely, secretly, and in an informed manner.

The initiative involves coordination with key electoral institutions, including the State of Mexico Electoral Institute (IEEM), the State of Mexico Electoral Tribunal (TEEM), and the local executive board of the National Electoral Institute (INE).
