Horia Brenciu and René Higuita celebrated on August 27

August 27 marks the birthdays of Romanian entertainer Horia Brenciu and former Colombian footballer René Higuita.

Horia Brenciu, born in Brașov in 1972, is a prominent Romanian singer, actor, and television presenter. After studying at the Academy of Theater and Film in Bucharest, he began his career in music and became a well-known TV host for programs such as ‘Robingo’ and ‘Sarabanda’. He also founded the HB Orchestra in 2002 and served as a coach on ‘The Voice of Romania’.

René Higuita, born in Medellín in 1966, is a former Colombian goalkeeper recognized for his unconventional playing style. He is famously known for the ‘Scorpion Kick’ save. During his career, he played for Atlético Nacional, winning the Copa Libertadores in 1989, and represented the Colombian national team.
