Horibe Associates' Café N+ Opens in Takatsuki, Japan

Café N+ is a 17 m² café designed by the architectural firm Horibe Associates, led by Naoko Horibe and Keiichi Horibe. The project, completed in 2024, links a historic shrine with a newly built performing‑arts theatre in the city of Takatsuki, Japan, aiming to harmonise with the existing landscape while maintaining a distinct identity. Structural engineering was provided by Shunya Takahashi of Tectonic Studio, and construction was carried out by Kosaka Koumuten Co., Ltd. The design emphasizes a vibrant public meeting point that respects the surrounding heritage and contemporary cultural facilities.
