Horizon League announces 2026-27 basketball schedules

The Horizon League has released the 2026-27 conference schedules for both the Northern Illinois University men’s basketball team and the Cleveland State women’s basketball team.

Northern Illinois University will begin its 20-game league schedule in December with games against Green Bay and Milwaukee. The Huskies' schedule includes a matchup against Youngstown State on December 30, marking their first meeting with the Penguins since 1994, and an inaugural meeting with Robert Morris on January 3. The season concludes with a home game against IU Indy.

Cleveland State’s women’s team will also play a 20-game slate. Under the new 12-member league format, the Vikings will play most teams twice, except for Northern Kentucky and Purdue Fort Wayne. Cleveland State opens conference play at home against Northern Kentucky and Northern Illinois in early December. Their regular season concludes in late February with home games against Robert Morris and IU Indy.
