Horňák Sports Club Celebrates 80 Years with Star-Studded Exhibition Match

On the day of its 80th anniversary, the Horňák sports club in Horní Staré Město organized a full‑day program. The centerpiece was an exhibition football match between the club’s veteran “old guard” and a SIGI team, featuring former Czech internationals Horst Siegl, Tomáš Řepka, František Straka, Jiří Novotný, Martin Frýdek, Jaroslav Bednář, Rudolf Otepka, Miroslav Matušovič, Petr Voříšek and Sagvan Tofi, followed by an autograph session.

The celebration also included youth football and softball games, a no‑handball tournament and other activities run by local clubs. In the evening a concert by the revival group Luciáni, performing hits of the band Lucie and David Koller, was held, with a DJ providing music earlier. Food stalls, a grill and rain‑proof tents served refreshments for attendees.
