Hormony wins Startup World Cup regional final in Mexico

Hormony, a startup based in Chihuahua, Mexico, has won the Mexican regional final of the Startup World Cup 2026. Led by CEO Mayra Hurtado Terminel, the company will represent Mexico at the international grand final in Silicon Valley, California, where it will compete for a one-million-dollar angel investment.

The startup focuses on female hormonal health, utilizing technology that enables monitoring through saliva tests and digital tools. The regional competition was held at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Chihuahua, as part of Chihuahua Tech Week 2026. Nine startups participated in the event, presenting projects across sectors such as artificial intelligence, biomaterials, and agricultural technology.

Other top performers in the regional final included Celunova, which took second place with its biomaterials project, and Waste Neutral Technologies, which secured third place for its waste management solutions.
