Hormozgan infrastructure: 8 damaged bridges and tunnels reconstructed
Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh, announced the reconstruction of eight out of eleven bridges and tunnels in Hormozgan province that were damaged during recent conflicts. The repairs were completed within 55 days to ensure the continued flow of goods, fuel, and essential items through the region.
Sadegh stated that the attacks on Hormozgan's transportation infrastructure were intended to disrupt the connection between the province and the rest of the country. She emphasized that the rapid reconstruction demonstrates the country's engineering capabilities and the resilience of its workforce despite financial and credit challenges.
Furthermore, the Minister outlined the current administration's policy of prioritizing the completion of existing projects over starting new ones. The government aims to finalize infrastructure projects that have reached over 80% physical progress by the end of the year.
