Hornachos reopens renovated municipal football field

The municipal football field ‘Los Tomillares’ in Hornachos has been reopened following a renovation project. The works included the replacement of the artificial turf and general facility improvements.

The project was funded through a cooperation agreement between the Diputación de Badajoz and the Hornachos City Council. The Diputación de Badajoz provided 70% of the funding via the Demographic Challenge Plan, totaling three contributions between 2025 and 2027, while the local council covered the remaining 30%. The renovated facilities serve local teams and the Municipal Football School.
