Hornachos residents protest as suspects in Francisca Cadenas murder arrive

Brothers Julián and Manuel González, who are under investigation for the murder of their neighbor Francisca Cadenas nine years ago, arrived in Hornachos for a reconstruction of the events. The arrival caused significant tension in the town, with residents shouting slogans and striking the Civil Guard vehicle as it passed through Calle Nueva.

The reconstruction is scheduled to take place at the residence where the victim's skeletal remains were discovered on March 11. Local residents expressed their support for the victim's family through black mourning ribbons on house facades and banners demanding truth and justice. Witnesses, including Civil Guard officers who responded to the original disappearance, were summoned to participate in the proceedings overseen by the judge of Villafranca de los Barros.
