Hornbach invests 70 million euros in new Romanian stores

Hornbach Romania is investing approximately 70 million euros to expand its network with two new stores in Cluj-Napoca and Craiova. Each project represents an investment of about 35 million euros.

The new location in Cluj-Napoca will be situated within the Urbano Shopping & Living commercial center. This second city location is planned to open in the autumn of 2027. The project covers a total area of approximately 49,500 square meters, featuring a 20,100 square meter sales area that includes dedicated sections for construction materials, gardening, and a Drive In format.

In Craiova, the company has obtained authorization for its first store in the Oltenia region. Construction in Craiova is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with an estimated opening in the spring of 2028. General Manager Radu Oniga stated that these investments reflect the company's confidence in the Romanian market's potential and its long-term development strategy.
