Horoya AC defeats Al Merreikh 1-0 in CAF Champions League

Horoya AC secured a 1-0 victory against Sudan's Al Merreikh in the first leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round. The match took place at the 28 Septembre Stadium in Conakry.

After a period of early pressure and missed opportunities, Gnagna Barry scored the decisive goal in the 45th minute, just before halftime. While Al Merreikh attempted to equalize during the second half, they were unable to overcome the Guinean side's defense.

This narrow lead gives Horoya AC a strategic advantage heading into the return leg, which is scheduled to take place in late October.
