Horror anthology series receive new trailers and release updates

The horror entertainment landscape is seeing new developments in both audio and visual anthology formats. Bang Zoom! Studios has released an exclusive trailer for the final season of its award-nominated audio drama series, ‘The Strange Thing About…’. The series, which has garnered millions of views, features a high-profile voice cast including Keith David, James Cromwell, and Xolo Maridueña. The final installments are scheduled for release during the Halloween season.

Separately, AMC Networks’ horror streaming service, Shudder, has announced a first look at its original film, ‘V. H. S. Mixtape’, set to premiere on October 9, 2026. The found-footage anthology features segments from various creators, including a segment directed by Ernest Dickerson starring Mike Ferguson, and a rhythmically driven segment by RZA. Other directors involved include David Moreau and Renee Zhan.
