Horsefly Games unveils teaser for The Polar Darkness

Finnish independent developer Horsefly Games has released a new teaser trailer for its upcoming psychological horror adventure, The Polar Darkness. Set in the isolated Finnish countryside during the 1980s, the game blends Finnish folklore with Lovecraftian cosmic horror and surreal storytelling.

The title features a unique visual style that combines atmospheric 3D environments with photographed live-action actors, aiming to evoke the aesthetic of classic adventure games. The project, developed as a solo passion project, has recently gained momentum after receiving the Audience Choice Award at Pocket Gamer Connects Nordic 2026 and surpassing 7,000 wishlists on Steam.

Development is currently progressing toward a planned release in 2027.
