Horst Lichter features in television prank and antique valuation
Television presenter Horst Lichter, known for hosting ‘Bares für Rares’, recently appeared on ‘Sat. 1 Frühstücksfernsehen’ with a drastically altered appearance, including a smooth face, different glasses, and various piercings. However, the change was revealed to be a staged prank for the show ‘Verstehen Sie Spaß?’. Lichter later shared on Instagram that the transformation was part of the comedic performance.
In a separate segment related to his work on ‘Bares für Rares’, a bronze statue of a muscular figure was presented for valuation. Expert Dr. Friederike Werner identified the piece as a work by Düsseldorf sculptor Hubert Netzer, depicting a ‘lightning-throwing Zeus’. The statue is a smaller version of a monumental work by Netzer that was famously displayed in Düsseldorf’s Rheinstadion.
