Horst Lichter impressed by vintage 80s sunglasses on German TV show Bares für Rares
In the Thursday edition of the German TV program "Bares für Rares", host Horst Lichter was shown a pair of red‑tinted sunglasses from the Wings collection of New York‑based Bausch & Lomb (Ray‑Ban). Lichter reacted enthusiastically, exclaiming “Mein lieber Kokoschinski!” and tried on the glasses himself, joking that he would go fetch a Ferrari.
The glasses, a relic from the 1980s originally designed for pilots to protect against UV radiation, were among roughly 500 sunglasses being cleared by owners Martina and Rainer during a move. Expert Bianca Berding estimated their value at €200‑250, far above the expected €50‑80 price range.
