Horst Lichter shares career anecdotes on ‘Inas Nacht’
During an appearance on the talk show ‘Inas Nacht’ with Ina Müller, German television presenter Horst Lichter shared personal anecdotes regarding his career and private life.
Lichter, widely known for hosting the ZDF show ‘Bares für Rares’, revealed that early in his career, RTL rejected him for a role in a breakfast cooking show. Despite being told he was the best candidate, the network required him to attend rhetoric school to lose his dialect and shave his signature mustache, which they deemed ‘old style’. Lichter refused both conditions, leading to a parting remark that he would remain in the ‘Regionalliga’ of television rather than the ‘Bundesliga’.
Regarding his personal life, Lichter discussed his home habits, noting that he and his wife, Nada, share a compulsive cleaning habit. He also mentioned that while he began his career as a professional chef, he does not cook at home, leaving that task to his wife.
