Horticulture sector in Spain focuses on innovation and sustainability

The horticultural sector in Spain is focusing on innovation, sustainability, and technological advancement through various professional gatherings. The II Congress of Horticulture of Catalonia is scheduled for October 20 and 21, with technical sessions taking place in Salt and Girona. Organized by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food alongside the local governments of Salt and Girona, the event aims to promote healthy, local food production and address challenges such as climate change and generational replacement.

In a separate industry development, Gramoflor Ibérica hosted technical visits at its Moixent facilities in Valencia for participants of the LV Seminar of Technicians and Specialists in Horticulture. The visit allowed specialists to observe the complete substrate production process, from raw material reception to final packaging. This seminar, held in Elche, emphasized productive efficiency and resource management within the horticultural industry.
