Hortolândia implements new governance, drug policy, and real estate evaluation initiatives

The municipality of Hortolândia is implementing several administrative and social initiatives. The city has joined the ‘Time Brasil’ program, an initiative by the Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU) aimed at strengthening public integrity, transparency, and governance. As part of this program, the city has developed an action plan consisting of 20 measures to be completed within 12 months, focusing on ethics, internal control, and social participation.

In addition to governance reforms, the city is advancing a Ten-Year Municipal Plan regarding alcohol and other drugs. Developed by a working group linked to the Municipal Council of Policies on Alcohol and Other Drugs (COMAD), the plan focuses on four pillars: prevention, care and harm reduction, participatory governance, and the monitoring of public policies.

Furthermore, the Hortolândia administration has contracted Caixa Econômica Federal for a 12-month technical assistance service to perform real estate evaluations. The contract, valued at R$ 29,912.07, was formalized through a bidding exemption to support municipal technical needs.
