Hoshi, a member of the group SEVENTEEN, has released a new solo track titled ‘BOYFRIEND’. The R&B-based pop song, which features a shuffle rhythm and synthesizer sounds, explores the romantic excitement and nervousness of falling in love. Hoshi participated in writing the lyrics for the track.
PLEDIS Entertainment also released an official performance film for the song, showcasing Hoshi’s choreography and expressive dance style. The release serves as a way for the artist to connect with fans while he completes his mandatory military service.
Hoshi has been serving in the South Korean military since September 2025, specifically within the Army Taekwondo Demonstration Unit. Following a total ACL tear in September 2026, he has been undergoing medical rehabilitation and focusing on recovery.
