Hoshino Resorts and Nippon TV launch athlete-led ski programs

Hoshino Resorts is collaborating with Nippon TV to offer special “Yuzzu” ski lesson programs led by top Olympic athletes. The initiative aims to combine sports science with professional coaching to support children’s skill development and character building.

The program will be held at two locations in early 2027. An intermediate course will take place at Hoshino Resorts Tomamu in Hokkaido from January 9 to 10, featuring coaching from Makiko Arai, an Olympian in ski cross. A beginner course will be held at Risonare Yatsugatake in Yamanashi from January 30 to 31, led by Junko Hoshino, an Olympian in alpine skiing.

The two-day curriculum includes foundational lessons on gentle slopes or indoor mini-slopes, followed by a second day of more challenging terrain. Participants will also engage in special dinner sessions with the athletes to discuss their experiences and build motivation.
