Hoshino Resorts to open Risonare Fukui in September 2027

Hoshino Resorts has announced that its new hotel brand, Risonare Fukui, is scheduled to open on September 10, 2027, in Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture. This marks the company's first expansion into the Hokuriku region.

Located within the Katsuyama Dinosaur Forest area, the hotel is a five-minute walk from the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. Designed by Klein Dytham Architecture, the facility follows a “designer hotel in the dinosaur forest” concept. The exterior features a pinecone-inspired shape to blend with the surrounding red pine forests, while the interior design is themed around geological layers and the earth.

The hotel will include 100 guest rooms and a top-floor “Panorama Wellness Floor,” which features a panoramic pool offering views of the mountains and the Kuzuryu River. The project utilizes the Park-PFI scheme to promote tourism in the area managed by Katsuyama City. In addition to hotel operations, Hoshino Resorts will be involved in the overall management of the park.
