Hospice organizations in Podkarpackie launch charity initiatives

Hospice organizations in the Podkarpackie region of Poland are marking significant milestones through community engagement and service anniversaries.

The Podkarpackie Hospice for Children has launched the seventh edition of its ‘Pola Nadziei’ (Fields of Hope) campaign in Rzeszów. The initiative involves planting daffodil bulbs in schools and various institutions across the Podkarpackie Voivodeship during the autumn. In the spring, the flowers are harvested and distributed to residents in exchange for voluntary donations to support the hospice’s operations and raise awareness for terminally ill patients and their families.

Separately, the John Paul II Home Hospice in Dębica is celebrating 20 years of service. Founded by Father Józef Dobosz in 2005 to alleviate the burden on families caring for the terminally ill, the association has provided care to nearly 4,000 people since its inception. The organization officially entered the National Court Register in 2006 and achieved public benefit organization status in 2009.
