Hospices civils de Lyon organizes therapeutic patient education week
The Hospices civils de Lyon (HCL) will host a series of events from September 21 to 26 to mark the departmental week for therapeutic patient education (ETP) in the Rhône region. The program aims to help patients acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to manage their illnesses effectively.
On September 23, the Hôpital Femme-Mère-Enfant in Bron will host workshops and demonstrations from 9:00 to 12:00. Activities include testing virtual reality headsets designed to prepare young patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis for biotherapy injections, learning about cystic fibrosis treatments, discovering adapted physical activities, and attending hand hygiene workshops. These sessions are open to the public without prior registration.
On September 30, a creative workshop will be held from 14:00 to 18:00, bringing together children and adolescents who have completed ETP programs with educational teams to write a slam poem about the benefits of patient education. The event will conclude with a mini-concert titled ‘Eurêka’ at the Hôpital Femme-Mère-Enfant.
