Hospital Cassems de Coxim Marks 13 Years with New Diagnostic Center in Mato Grosso do Sul

The Hospital Cassems de Coxim in the municipality of Coxím, Mato Grosso do Sul, celebrated its 13th anniversary since opening on 1 July 2013. The milestone coincides with the inauguration of a new Diagnostic Center that houses a high‑resolution tomograph and a digital X‑ray unit, improving local imaging capabilities and reducing the need for patients to travel to the state capital for urgent exams.

The hospital, part of the Caixa de Assistência dos Servidores do Estado (Cassems) network, serves more than 10,000 beneficiaries across ten municipalities, offering a wide range of specialties such as orthopaedics, cardiology, paediatrics, neurology and obstetrics. With over 60 employees and a rotating team of specialists, the facility operates 24‑hour emergency care, equipped surgical suites, and isolation wards, aiming to strengthen health access in the region.
