Hospital da Luz Ribatejo launches environmental initiative in Santarém

Hospital da Luz Ribatejo has launched a social responsibility and environmental sustainability initiative titled ‘Raízes que nos unem’ (Roots that unite us) in Santarém. The project involved nine local social solidarity institutions in the planting and sponsorship of trees within the green spaces of the new hospital facility.

The initiative aims to establish a symbolic connection between the hospital and the participating community organizations. Each institution is responsible for a tree, which features a plaque bearing the entity's name to associate the plant with their respective social work. The new hospital unit is expected to open in the final quarter of 2026.
