Hospital de Base Luís Eduardo Magalhães completes 86 elective surgeries

The Hospital de Base Luís Eduardo Magalhães (HBLEM), managed by the Fundação de Atenção à Saúde de Itabuna, has completed 86 procedures through its elective surgery campaign since the beginning of August.

The initiative includes various interventions such as gallbladder removals, hysterectomies, oophorectomies, and hernia or hemorrhoid corrections. Patients have provided positive feedback via the hospital's ombudsman, praising the care and treatment received during their stay.

In addition to the campaign, the hospital has performed a total of 514 surgeries in August to date. This total includes 278 general surgeries, 140 orthopedic procedures, 58 vascular surgeries, 28 maxillofacial surgeries, and 10 neurosurgeries, all while maintaining regular emergency and inpatient services.
