Hospital de la Dignidad construction begins in Santo Domingo

Dr. Félix Antonio Cruz Jiminián has officially broken ground on the construction of the ‘Hospital de la Dignidad’ in Santo Domingo Oeste. Located on the main road of Hato Nuevo, Manoguayabo, the facility is designed to provide palliative care for terminally ill patients.

The initiative, led by the Cruz Jiminián Foundation, aims to support individuals facing conditions such as cancer, brain tumors, and multiple sclerosis. The project seeks to ensure that patients who can no longer be cured can spend their final days without pain or loneliness. Dr. Cruz Jiminián noted that many impoverished patients are often sent home to die without adequate medical support, leading to severe suffering. The new center will feature individual cabins to provide privacy and dignity for patients.
