Hospital de Trauma shortage forces family to spend 88 million Guaraníes

A family has reported spending 88 million Guaraníes over two months at the Hospital de Trauma due to a critical shortage of medical supplies. The situation was brought to public attention through a social media video by a man whose wife is currently hospitalized.

The complainant alleged that the medical center suffers from severe neglect, noting a lack of cleaning services that forces family members to clean bathrooms and rooms themselves. He also reported a shortage of basic items, such as hand-drying materials and urostomy bags, and claimed that specialized medical staff, including urologists and infectious disease specialists, have failed to attend to patients.

The man directed his criticism toward President Santiago Peña, accusing the administration of causing the resignation of essential medical professionals and calling for the Ministry of Health to intervene.
