Hospital Dr. José María Miranda celebrates 80th anniversary

The Dr. José María Miranda Hospital in Cerrito, Entre Ríos, celebrated its 80th anniversary this Tuesday. The event was attended by health authorities, municipal officials, workers, retirees, and local residents.

Health Secretary Daniel Valentinuz recognized the workers who sustain the public health system and emphasized the goal of continuing to strengthen the hospital to ensure quality, accessible care for the local population and its surrounding areas. Hospital Director Claudia Picconi noted that over eight decades, the institution has evolved by modernizing facilities, adding new services—such as the Cardiology Service—and focusing on humanized care.

Other attendees included local Mayor Ulises Tomassi, Provincial Senate official Sara Foletto, and the rector of the Universidad Adventista del Plata, Horacio Rizzo.
