Hospital General de Granollers exceeds 50 active clinical trials

The Hospital General de Granollers has surpassed 50 active clinical trials across various medical specialties. This milestone strengthens the Clinical Trials Unit, which was established in 2024.

The unit is currently conducting phase II, III, and IV studies in fields including allergology, vascular surgery, dermatology, oncohematology, oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, rheumatology, traumatology, and urology. Dermatology represents a significant portion of this activity, with 22 ongoing trials.

As a reference hospital for the Vallès Oriental region, serving over 470,000 inhabitants, the hospital provides local access to innovative therapeutic strategies and medications under development. This allows patients to participate in research without necessarily traveling to medical centers in Barcelona. Dr. Núria Rudi, Deputy Medical Director and Head of the Pharmacy Service, noted that clinical research offers professional development opportunities and facilitates the transfer of new knowledge to clinical practice.
