Hospital General del Chaco reaches 100% piling completion
Construction of the Hospital General del Chaco in Mariscal Estigarribia has reached a significant milestone, with piling works now 100% complete. According to the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), work is currently progressing on foundation beams, headers, and pillars. Earthmoving is approximately 93% complete, while the executive project development stands at 25%.
The high-complexity medical center is expected to be delivered by late August 2027. It will feature 13,850 square meters of construction, including nearly 45 inpatient beds, 21 intensive care units, 19 outpatient and emergency consultation rooms, and four operating rooms. Additional facilities will include laboratories, diagnostic imaging, a dialysis unit, a helipad, and an effluent treatment plant.
Financed by Itaipú Binacional with an investment of approximately USD 24.5 million (G. 172,715,294,871), the project aims to benefit over 150,000 residents in the Western Region. The construction is being managed by the Consorcio Salud Occidental, comprising ITASA, Proel, and JGL, under the supervision of CIALPA S.A.
