Hospital General San José de las Matas reaches zero debt

The Hospital General San José de las Matas has become the 99th facility in the Dominican Republic’s Public Health Services Network to reach a zero-debt status. This milestone is attributed to management focused on the efficient and responsible use of resources.

This hospital joins the Municipal Dr. Jacinto Ignacio Mañón and Municipal Ciudad Juan Bosch hospitals, which recently achieved similar financial indicators. Julio César Landrón, executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), visited the facility to inspect its operations and service conditions. He noted that maintaining clean accounts is a significant step toward financial sustainability without compromising the quality of patient care. Landrón emphasized that transparent planning allows resources to be redirected toward improving services and ensuring the availability of necessary medical supplies.
