Hospital Infantil Teletón de Oncología reports 86% pediatric cancer survival rate

The Hospital Infantil Teletón de Oncología (HITO) in Querétaro, Mexico, has reported a pediatric cancer survival rate of 86 percent. This figure marks an increase from the 80 percent recorded during the institution’s initial statistical periods.

Management noted that the national average survival rate for children with cancer in Mexico is approximately 57 percent. HITO officials stated that their current results are comparable to specialized centers in developed nations, attributing the progress to specialized personnel, advanced infrastructure, and comprehensive medical and spiritual support for families.

As the hospital approaches 13 years of operation, it has established itself as a reference center for precision cancer diagnosis, serving many patients from economically vulnerable backgrounds.
