Hospital La Fe uses AI to analyze over 1,650 prostate cancer cases

Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe in Valencia has surpassed 1,650 prostate studies analyzed using artificial intelligence. The hospital has become a leading center for studying patients with suspected prostate cancer through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) combined with AI technology.

Health Counselor Marciano Gómez visited the Urology service to observe the tool in action, noting that the application of AI in clinical processes and prostate cancer diagnosis allows for more precise, personalized, and efficient care. The technology acts as a support for professionals, streamlining clinical decision-making.

By utilizing advanced analysis of MRI images, specialists can more accurately identify early signs of the disease and optimize response times. This helps in delimiting areas with a high probability of aggressive tumors. The QP-Prostate solution, which holds CE certification for the European Union and UKCA approval for the United Kingdom, is being used to establish biparametric MRI as a standard for detecting and characterizing the disease.
