Hospital Municipal de Peruíbe expands pediatric care with 16 new beds
The Hospital Municipal de Peruíbe has expanded its pediatric services by adding 16 new beds, including nine Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds and seven clinical inpatient beds. These services are provided through the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) and are available to patients from Peruíbe and surrounding municipalities.
With this expansion, the hospital now operates 46 beds, representing approximately 64% of its total planned capacity of 72 beds. The new pediatric sectors feature modernized equipment and specialized teams, allowing for on-site laboratory tests, ultrasounds, and X-rays. Access to these new beds is managed through the municipal regulation system, which evaluates clinical necessity and bed availability.
