Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria advances therapeutic pediatric garden

Construction is progressing on ‘Un lugar para sanar’, a new therapeutic pediatric garden at the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria. The project, driven by the Fundación Diario de Avisos, aims to complete the space before the end of the year.

The Fundación Punset Terraviva, led by Elsa Punset, is collaborating on the project to provide specialized expertise in therapeutic gardening. The goal is to create a wellness resource for hospitalized children rather than a standard green area. Recent site visits involved architects, hospital pediatric heads, and foundation representatives to review vegetation, play areas, and design principles intended to influence patient well-being through their environment.
