Hospital Pablo Soria reopens renovated inpatient ward in Jujuy

The Hospital Pablo Soria in Jujuy has reopened its renovated Clinical Inpatient Ward following an investment of approximately 2 billion pesos. The reopening, held during the hospital's 66th anniversary, was led by Governor Carlos Sadir and Health Minister José Manzur.

The modernized facility includes 16 rooms with private bathrooms and four isolation rooms equipped with medicinal gases for immunosuppressed or infectious patients. The renovation also features a new nursing area, specialized bathrooms with accessibility features, and a dedicated kitchen. This project complements the Emergency Center inaugurated in 2025 as part of a broader provincial plan to strengthen the public health system.

In addition to infrastructure, officials highlighted growth in medical training. Registrations for Health Sciences Residencies in the province increased from 78 last year to 165 this year. Furthermore, the provincial medical program currently has 60 students beginning practical training, with plans to expand intake to 70 new students by 2027.
